Last Monday was supposed to be the most depressing day of the year.
In addition to it being the shortest day of the year, NYC received the gift of freezing rain to pair beautifully with the leftover snow. I happened to be a day late, feeling the seasonal depression on Tuesday. :(
To pick up the mood in anticipation for that delightful time we call spring, I began sourcing Spring 2011 color trends. These colors were all over the runways of the Spring 2011 R2W shows. Just one look at this palette gave me a glimmer of hope that spring will return soon!
Pair these colors in almost any combination for an extremely chic, of-the-moment look. If you're not as daring, pair with classic spring whites and nudes for a fresh, crisp look.
I am head over heels for the color combo of this BCBG Max Azria dress. It's a subtly unique color pairing and a great way to avoid going overboard with coral hues.
These refreshing blue Phillip Lim shorts pair so well with any neutral, and the laser-cut detail is very on trend. For shorts, think slouchy fit, tailored pleats and scalloped hems.
This Tibi romper and Max Azria dress are the perfect pieces for spring. Both can be worn anywhere with anything,(especially gold jewelry and/or belt)!
This vibrant purple looks good on every skin tone. The romper is a perfect day-to-night staple.
Color adds character to this Rachel Roy classic lady-like ensemble.
Keep these colors in mind when spring shopping. If you've begun sourcing the perfect pieces and colors, please share your findings!
xx,
Krystina
