New York Bridal Market! What a whirlwind! Nina Bridal showed its new collections in the Couture section at the Piers for New York Bridal Fashion Week.
"New York bridal market was a fabulous success," noted Kerry Magnusson, Director of Bridal Merchandising. "Stores were buzzing about our range of pop color in footwear, adorably practical crystal embellished leather ballet flats, our new floral headpiece assortment, and our Nina jewelry line. Excitement continued to build about the importance of the bridal sashes. Our silk and organza floral styles as well as the Swarovski and Czech crystal embellished sashes continue to gain importance as a key bridal accessory to carry for 2012. Our vintage brooch handbag line (see above) debuted at the show and amazed buyers and editors alike. We had a phenomenal time showing bridal accessories for our second season and are excited about the future endless possibilities!"
Nina Bridal offered a range of accessories and shoes at Brides Magazine's White Hot Hope pop-up shop in Soho. Brides and bridal parties came from all over the East Coast to shop the event where a portion of the proceeds benefited Dress for Success and Operation Smile. Among the best sellers for Nina Bridal were the Mazey handbag in champagne and the Mirabela and Maeve earrings.
We were so pleased our partners at Brides invited us to take part in such a wonderful event. And we were over the moon to see Nina's amazing credits in the November issue, including the Lorna handbag, a full page photo of the Evelixa pump, and an adorable photo of the Flirty Nina Bridal t-shirt:
One of the most exciting events of Bridal Week was Colin Cowie's launch party for his new website www.colincowieweddings.com. Colin Cowie welcomed guests to a chic glass-enclosed penthouse just as a gorgeous sunset was dropping over the Hudson River. (And we would expect nothing less than perfection and ultimate stylishness from Mr. Cowie and his team.) We were thrilled to see Nina Galiza shoe on the invitation.
And when the much-anticipated site launched, what a treat to find the Nina Lani handbag in ivory featured there:
One of the highlights of the week was seeing Nina Shoes on the runway with the amazing creations of Yumi Katsura, the only bridal designer who is also a member of the Parisian Haute Couture. Nina Liola, Felize, and Design-your-own Electra were among the Nina shoes accompanying Yumi Katsura's gorgeous, opulently embroidered gowns.
A million thanks to Nina's editorial partners for showcasing Nina Shoes, Nina Handbags and Nina Bridal so prominently at New York Bridal Week.
